I'm Matthew, a 20 something whippersnapper from herts. I'm not used to sharing my thoughts on the web, so forgive me if this is badly put together.
I'm new to Leicester, but I feel right at home here. The drastic change in lifestyle was pretty easy to cope with because it is so easy to make friends. I feel that the next 3 years spent here are going to be the best in my life!
Now more about me and who I am. I am a gamer at heart, always have been. More than just computer games. I have to have a challenge or some sort of objective to carry out, otherwise I get bored. Saying that I never really got into the mainstream sports. I got into creating games and ideas for games when I was in year 11 in secondary school. Around this time I discovered the valve stk. The tools were baffling but I slowly learned them. The stk filled up a gap that only very few computer games could offer. It allowed me to be more creative instead of just playing through a level to a final goal. The stk sparked my love for making games and it all just followed on from there.
This thought of blogging; sharing your identity on the Internet. It does not feel that weird or strange to me. But then again I suppose i am part of the myspace/facebook generation, where having an online identity it essential to fit into some societies. so in some respects i am used to it. Oh well enjoy reading my post!
